Submissions:

Second edition:

  • Include stories of those who have positively impacted the community in the Plateau region

  • Not spiritual in nature - but cultural

  • Recalling the development in the areas of: business, education, health, recreation, community service, and faith

  • Remembering current day people and impact they had.

Development:

  • Submissions will be reviewed and selected

  • Nominee will be informed of their acceptance

  • They will record their story - audio or video

  • Interviews will take place as needed

  • Mountain View Press will develop the story

  • Contributor will receive a PDF to ensure accuracy of the story

  • Publisher reserves the right to edit as necessary

Specifics:

  • Contributors may also write their story instead of recording, which will go through the formal editing process

  • Each story will be 1,500 - 3,000 words depending on the category.

  • Contributors will be asked to submit a high resolution digital photo to be included at the beginning of their chapter (may be provided in color but will be printed in b&w)

  • Royalties will not be offered to contributors

Distribution:

  • Contributors will receive a 20% discount off the retail price to purchase for personal use or resale (hard cover available upon request)

  • For sale in Romans 828 bookstore

  • Retail opportunities for community retailers at 50% off the retail price

Benefits to community:

  • Books will be available to community business and tourist areas for resale
  • Opportunity for continued impact of the contributors could be signing books and sharing their story in schools, community events, social media, YouTube channel, and more.
  • Bring awareness and celebrate the history of the Plateau

Future editions:

  • Will be determined for additional stories of recent residents.
  • Opportunities to expand this project will be developed as the project experiences success. This could include future editions, coloring books, travel journals, and unique opportunities within the plateau.
